ISM Africa, a dynamic and growing company, found itself in need of a workplace transformation to accommodate its expanding team. With a focus on creating a modern and minimalistic environment, ISM Africa sought the expertise of Henson Interiors to design and execute the expansion of their office space.
In line with ISM Africa’s vision, Henson Interiors conceptualized a modern minimalistic look. The dominant color theme of blue and white, reflecting the corporate identity of ISM, was incorporated to create a cohesive and branded atmosphere throughout the office.
The fit-out phase included wall treatments, with plastering, triple-coat painting, and the installation of aluminum and glass partitions. Film and blinds added a touch of privacy and functionality. The flooring fit-out comprised screeding for tiled areas and adhesive-backed carpet installation. Ceilings were meticulously plastered, painted with the chosen color scheme, and adorned with carefully selected light fixtures.
Henson Interiors addressed joinery works by installing storage cabinetry in boardrooms for organizational efficiency. The kitchen received high and low-level storage cabinets, along with a stylish counter table to enhance the workspace’s functionality and aesthetics.
Henson Interiors meticulously planned the layout to optimize the open-plan office with a linear design.
This involved strategically placing furniture to enhance functionality and flow. The flooring layout showcased a blend of tiles and carpets, demarcating various spaces within the office. Glass and aluminum partitions, along with gypsum board partitioning, were employed to create distinct areas, such as boardrooms and the kitchen space.
To complete the transformation, Henson Interiors supplied and installed furniture, including office desks, chairs, and boardroom tables, which were selected for both comfort and aesthetic appeal. Audio-visual systems, such as screens and projectors, were integrated seamlessly. Input and output devices, such as printers and computers, were strategically placed for accessibility. Decor elements, such as planters and framed artwork, added a finishing touch to the space.
The collaboration between ISM Africa and Henson Interiors resulted in a workspace that not only met the functional needs of the growing team but also embodied the company’s values and identity. The modern minimalistic design, coupled with the strategic use of the blue and white color scheme, created a cohesive and branded environment that fosters productivity and reflects the dynamic nature of ISM Africa.
